Taranto, 3rd February 2023 – With regard to the event occurred today during regular maintenance activities in the cold rolling mill, Acciaierie d’Italia specifies that the activity is regulated according to a specific operating procedure and that the related risks are thoroughly assessed within the risk assessment documents of the department.
The involved operators have been properly trained for the specific operation.
Besides, the company informed the local workers’ safety representatives at the end of the operator’s rescue activities and assessment of the event circumstances, even if not required by any regulatory provision on this regard.
Currently, checks are underway to verify the compliance with the protection and safety procedures by the employees.
