Taranto, 12th November 2022 – The President and the Council of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Taranto, accepting the invitation of the Company, visited the Research, Development and Sustainability Centre of Acciaierie d'Italia on Friday 11th November 2022, inside the Taranto plant.
Welcomed by engineer Adolfo Buffo, General Manager of Quality-Research-Development and Sustainability of Acciaierie d'Italia, the president of the Order of Engineers, professor and engineer Luigi De Filippis, and a large delegation of the Council visited the areas dedicated to the training of personnel and research on materials, spaces currently involved in expansion and technological innovation activities.
Before the short tour, the President and Councilors of the Order of Engineers of Taranto met with the general manager Adolfo Buffo, in the presence of the head of the R&D office, engineer Luigi Langellotto, and a group of executives and specialized technicians of the Centre, on the 2021 Sustainability Report of the Taranto plant and on some of the possible future scenarios, postponing to a further and more formal appointment the hypothesis of starting a fruitful and continuous relationship of collaboration between Acciaierie d'Italia and the Order of Engineers of Taranto.
This relationship will aim at the development of institutional, professional and technical exchanges of knowledge and expertise, while respecting the mutual missions and including the key element of sustainable development.
