Milan, 27th July 2021 – In relation to the provision by the Labor Judge of Taranto to reintegrate Mr Riccardo Cristello in the workplace, Acciaierie d’Italia remarks that the appointed Magistrate has ascertained the offensive nature of the expressions used by Mr Cristello (among others, “killers”). Furthermore, he confirmed the certain attribution of the post published to the aforementioned employee, as well as the absence of any retaliatory aim from the Company, with the applicability of the obligation of loyalty regardless of the type of communication tools used.
At the same time, Acciaierie d’Italia acknowledges that the Magistrate, in the summary phase of the trial, decided for the reintegration provision, believing that the “verbal attack” carried out by Mr Cristello was actually referred to the previous management of the Taranto steel plant, so, regardless of the present tense of the verbs used.
