Taranto, 31st October 2023 - Acciaierie d'Italia notifies that today an accident has occurred in the power unit of the Taranto plant, in which an operator from an external contractor was involved. The operator, engaged in lining the pipes, was promptly helped by the internal health service and is currently in the plant infirmary.
The Company has opened an internal investigation to verify the dynamics of the event. Acciaierie d'Italia reserves the right to evaluate possible actions against the contractor in relation to any failure to comply with the safety procedures provided for in the procurement contract.
