Genoa, 17th February 2024 - Concerning MP Orlando's inquiry to the Government on the stoppage of a tinplate production line at Acciaierie d'Italia's Genoa Plant, the company clarifies that the line that produces chromed strip using chromic acid has been stopped since the evening of Friday, February 16, for a maintenance intervention on a conductor roller.
This intervention is scheduled to be completed on Monday, February 19. Whereas the line that produces tinplate has been stopped since the end of December 2023 for the development of the most important investments, both economic and technical strategic, made on the tinplate cycle in the last 15 years. The construction site related to the order, under the duty of Tenova company, has never been at a standstill.
