Taranto, 3 July 2025 – Acciaierie d’Italia in Amministrazione Straordinaria announces that the discussion with Baku Steel Company, as well as with other potential international partners interested in the relaunch of the company, Jindal Steel International and Bedrock Industries Management Co Inc, continues in a constructive climate. The shared objective is to identify solid, sustainable and long-term industrial solutions.
At this stage, the issue of the conditions necessary for the future of the Taranto steel hub remains central. Particular attention is paid to the decisions of local authorities on the regasification project, considered a strategic infrastructure to enable a DRI plant and concretely implement a decarbonisation path consistent with the prospects of the sector.
