Genova, 12th December 2023 – With reference to the news released today, Acciaierie d'Italia specifies that the accident which occurred to the worker in the anode furnace of the tinplate area was due to the failure to wear the protective glasses required for the job. The company is carrying out investigations to verify what happened and take appropriate measures.
With regard to the unhooking of a roll from a height of less than one meter, Acciaierie d'Italia specifies that nobody was involved and no damage occurred, neither to the material nor to the equipment. The crane in question had passed all the necessary technical checks.
